Our Grounds

We are a two form entry school with eight spacious classrooms. We have an ICT Suite, which each class has access to every week, as well as use of our iPads for cross-curricular learning. We have a spacious hall (used for assemblies, P.E., dining etc.) adjacent to a well-equipped kitchen, which provides cooked meals for both the Infant and Junior schools as well as other local schools. Recently, our school library been extensively renovated and a plethora of new books, suggested by the pupils, parents and staff have been ordered. Moreover, we have sixteen Year Six pupils who have been appointed as Librarians. They encapsulate the Wolf Core Value by working with and inspiring younger pupils, thus promoting the pleasure of reading. Also in the library, a new mural of a winding forest path, called ‘The Path of Hope’ by our pupils, was painted by local artist, Mark Mason. At the physical and emotional center of our school is the Quad, also known as the Totem Garden, here you will find our Totem Poles, which depict our Core Value animals, each designed and made by our pupils.

We are also extremely fortunate to have two large playgrounds, one of which is bordered by sturdy shelters equipped with tables - perfect for both outdoor classwork and dining. Both playgrounds also have a set of adventure play equipment, which have recently been refurbished, and are loved by all age groups! Furthermore our children also benefit from being surrounded by extensive playing fields. These provide plenty of room for a running track, football pitches and a cricket strip, as well as plenty of green space for rounders, athletics and drama activities (on our very own outdoor stage). Furthermore, we have an orchard and a hidden garden on our grounds. We have also recently built an open-air classroom of large outdoor musical instruments! Finally, our children benefit from two very special areas of outside space: our human sundial, where pupils can learn to tell the time using an historic technique as well as our labyrinth, which is a spiritual and peaceful part of the school much loved by all pupils. Both of these areas included the children in the design stages, so they feel a part of the school’s legacy, even after they have moved on to secondary school.
